An absolutely amazing proficient and teacher- my husband and I attended the throwing class. For two hours he guided us expertly with throwing. We could not describe how delighted we were to feel confident and capable of doing things independently while also being guided. As an additional note, as a Muslim woman, I try to avoid physical contact with the opposite gender- Tom was very considerate of this fact and was not only graceful and respectful, but would correct me with minimal physical contact and using the sponge between our hands to guide my hands to correct technique. I am so impressed not only with the course, the teacher and the quality of the materials and resources but his ability to adapt to the student’s particular needs and understanding. Incredible, we will be coming back.

Tom is an engaging, enthusiastic and knowledgeable potter. My partner and I spent a brilliant 2 hours in a private throwing session where we learnt loads and had great fun. I would thoroughly recommend this as an experience for people of all ages - and the gift vouchers are a perfect present.

Just completed 2 hours and never thrown a pot before and successfully made a few - it was a delightful experience, Tom was really great. A fabulous teacher with great patience. I will defiantly return. Fantastic experience m, loved every minute.

OMG, what an incredible experience from start to finish. We booked a private pottery tuition class to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. Tom couldn't have been more helpful with the booking process (even extending the voucher a few days after the 12-month period). His wonderfully warm welcome, which included a tour of the studios and other artists was incredible and you felt a real connection with the art collective's vision - truly inspiring. The session was delivered with sooo much passion and enthusiasm, and Tom's hands-on style and encouraging approach meant we quickly picked up the skills to create three different items - all beautifully unique and celebrated in their own right. This has to be one of the most memorable experiences we've ever had, and I'd recommend it so highly to anyone, all ages, beginners and pros alike as I have no doubt Tom will make it utterly extra-ordinary. Serious brownie points earned by my hubby for this awesome valentines gift. I've not done pottery since I was at school many, many years ago and I loved it back then. Today didn't disappoint at all. Tom is an excellent, enthusiastic and patient teacher. His teaching style would appeal to literally everyone. We had a 2 hour, 2-1 session. We went through the initial process of the clay and the wheel, techniques etc then Tom just let us get creative. We made aprox 8 pots and probably ruined a good few along the way but wow 👌 what a fabulous afternoon we had. I highly recommend giving this a go, it's so therapeutic and fun. What a great little gem, located in an up and coming corner of Stockport. Thankyou 😊

Lehran Pottery Studio is a hidden little gem in Stockport and so pleased my friend found it. Pottery making is so therapuetic, I will definitely be going again. Tom the host is just so lovely and very patient, fab teacher ⭐️. Book on you wont be dissapointed ☺️
