Thrown Together Pottery Studio

Absolutely loved our Beginners Throwing Course today with the super talented Liam. We went there as total amateurs and didn't know what to expect. .We shouldn’t have worried. Liam greeted us at the door and introduced himself. There was no pressure to be perfect, everything was light hearted and fun, and Liam showed us step by step what we needed to do to throw/work with the clay. We both created 2 pieces and also painted a couple of tiles for a decorative piece Liam is putting together. Our pottery will be coloured and fired and then ready for collection in a few weeks. We are looking forward to seeing them complete. Would highly recommend giving a class a try. I will be booking up again.

We had a fantastic time on the wheel with Liam. The studio has beautiful natural light and is the perfect place to get creative. Liam is a highly skilled artist and a great teacher - he knows how to explain techniques to complete beginners and we left having created beautiful bowls and candle stick holders. We enjoyed the experience very much. Thank you Liam!

My friend organised this two-hour course for my birthday. If you've ever fancied giving this a go, do not hesitate, this is a fantastic opportunity! Liam is lovely. He welcomed me into his studio and explained and demonstrated the processes. He patiently works alongside you to ensure you have the chance to make the best product. I made two pots (a small bowl and a paint water pot). Liam fired and glazed the pots with my choice of glaze, and I collected them today. This is fantastic value for money as you receive your hand-made products and learn a new skill. I plan to return with my daughter in the near future. I cannot recommend Thrown Together highly enough!

My friend & I went on holiday to Seaham & wanted to do something fun, exciting & engaging! We are soo glad we found thrown together pottery session! The vibe was so chilled and calm- this was both our first time making anything with clay- liam and his partner made us feel at ease and no question was silly. As we live 5 hours away from where they are based, however Liam was more than happy to accommodate us why shipping our products to us once they were dry and complete! I highly recommend doing a thrown together session- very affordable pricing for the quality of the clay and tools you use. You also got w free drink on arrival- always goes down well. Thank you thrown together pottery for an experience we won’t forget!

Liam is the most patient and informative teacher. Sessions are great fun , and he is always on hand to assist and advise. Thoroughly recommend any of his classes if you want a brilliant introduction to pottery , or if you are wanting to build on your experience. He also makes a fabulous cuppa !

My friend and I had a wonderful morning on the beginners pottery throwing course. It was fun, relaxed and good atmosphere. Liam is a great teacher who made us feel relaxed and welcome. Very good value for money coming away with two pieces of pottery. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in learning about pottery.

If you’ve ever fancied having a go at throwing pottery, I would thoroughly recommend booking a session with Liam. To be honest, even if you hadn’t ever thought of doing it but are invited along by a friend, I’d say, go for it! Liam provides very clear tuition every step of the way and is encouraging and supportive as you try something completely new. I made a small bowl and vase which were glazed by Liam in my colour choice. As you can see from the photo, the bowl is now home to a plant and sits on my desk at work. Thanks Liam, hopefully I will come back for another session and I’ve recommended you to a few friends who were interested too.
