Juicy lemons Creative Studios

I started classes last January, and am obsessed! Beautiful light, airy studios in Buxted, fantastic teachers, your own potters wheel as maximum 5 people per class, high quality clay which is dishwasher and microwave safe once fired, and every tool, gadget and glaze at your disposal! It is the only thing I do 'for me' each week, and it brings me such joy. I find the class itself quite meditative as I concentrate so hard on trying to apply everything I have been taught, so no space in my brain for the thousand things on my 'To Do List', and also spend many happy minutes during the week thinking about what I plan to do next. The other potters are a very friendly crowd, from all walks of life, and I can't recommend the pottery lessons highly enough. It's immensely satisfying, and I am so proud of the pieces I have made so far, including several very well received gifts for friends.

Finding this studio is one of the best things I have come across. An absolute beginner they have taught me so much already! Catherine and Candice are wonderful tutors and so patient! They are always ready to try something different as well as making sure you get the basics under your belt. Nice sized groups and all the other students are lovely people to be with and share the experience with. Thoroughly recommend 👌 👏 👍 🙌 xx

A wonderful studio! Catherine and Candice are kind, patient teachers who roll with every crazy idea you have and help create your vision. It is a calm and friendly atmosphere for both classes and studio time. I started as a complete beginner and have learnt so much in the last year from their expert teaching.

I’ve been coming to classes for just over a year and am so happy to have found this studio. It’s a creative and welcoming environment and all the people (tutors and fellow potters) are supportive and positive. It is space to think, a space to chat or space to quietly make.

Really enjoyed the Creative Clay workshop. As a real beginner I thought I’d be doing something fairly basic. But with patient, positive, hands on tutoring I surprised my self. Great workshop for adults wanting to try to be more creative but not sure where to start. Lovely venue, perfect for a calming arty day.

I’ve been coming to classes on a Monday evening since April and I look forward to it every week! Classes are small, (maximum of 5) and it’s a friendly, relaxed environment with patient teachers who roll with whatever it is you want to try and make! I thoroughly reccomend to anyone wanting to give pottery a go.

I’m so happy to have discovered Juicy Lemons and I’m not sure I’ll ever stop taking their classes! My favourite way to spend a few hours with fantastic teachers and brilliant classmates I now call friends. I love creating and also seeing what others create. It’s such a supportive environment, you can really let loose, make mistakes, experiment and end up with something you love, even if it’s not perfect. Couldn’t recommend more
