I just wanted to say such a big thank you to Bill and his partner for a wonderful morning throwing my first ever pot! The relaxed warm welcome and easy to understand tuition made me love love love the experience, I have found my new addiction! Anyone wanting to learn please book up now!! Had a three hour 1-2-1 pottery experience with a friend and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Bill and Anthea were so welcoming and friendly and very passionate and knowledgeable - we learnt an awful lot in three hours but the highlight was the throwing on the wheel and making mugs and pots under their expert tuition. Just the right amount of letting us experience the creative process of working with clay with making sure we achieved something lovely to take away with us once fired and glazed. Left with such a buzz! Would highly recommend if you are looking for a first introduction to pottery and like the idea of a more personalised experience.

I had a 121 three hour pottery throwing class with Bill and it was excellent. Bill is a great teacher, keeping it simple and clear throughout with just the right level of hands on coaching. Highly recommend if you are interested in doing pottery as this will teach you the key basics to build on.

We had a wonderful , informative and fun afternoon at Ashdown pottery . As beginners with little knowledge we were shown the basics of different clays , glazes , the colouring process and also told about the firing in the kilns . Then a demonstration of throwing a pot before being let loose on the potters wheels . We learnt an outline into pottery , had great fun , got to pick and keep our best pieces . Many thanks to Bill and Anthea for their time and tuition . Highly recommended for an introduction onto pottery .
