I cannot recommend Fired Up Pottery highly enough. Julia is a fantastic teacher - so encouraging, knowledgeable and friendly. The studio she has set up is so well put together, with everything you could need (and things you never knew you would need!). It’s one of my happiest happy places.

I have wanted to try pottery for a long time. I couldn't believe my luck when I saw that fired up pottery had opened in my neighbourhood. I've done 2 classes now, mini houses and mug making. Julia is a fantastic teacher and very encouraging and supportive. The people taking part were all lovely and we all enjoyed our experience. I can't wait to do more. 💜💜💜

Julia is the best tutor I've had in my 3 years of doing pottery. She's so enthusiastic about everyone's creation that comes out of the kiln. I have learnt more with her in the last year than the 2 previous years. Firedup is the best and friendliest place to learn about all things pottery.

I’m halfway through my second course with Julia now and I couldn’t imagine a better place to learn pottery! Julia is so welcoming and friendly, the studio is bright and well designed with all the tools you could possibly need. The classes are the perfect balance of structured and flexible, providing an introduction of a wide range of techniques with additional instruction for any specific projects/techniques you are working on personally. The classes and workshops are also great value for money. Thank you Julia for making ceramics so accessible and fun, the perfect midweek escape!

I started Thursday night pottery classes back in January. Everyone was so welcoming from the start. It's early days but I'm loving it. Julia is a great teacher, a wealth of knowledge in all things to do with pottery. I'm finding it very therapeutic & looking forward to learning more & improving my pottery skills. After losing my partner last year I was looking for something to do after work instead of being stuck in front of TV. It's great to see all the lovely pieces everyone is producing & I'm pleased to be part of this little community. Pictured are a couple of my first wonky pots, loved making them & starting to learn about glazes, oxides etc

FiredUp Pottery is a very special place....you are welcomed in, supported and taught by the amazing Julia. She teaches and develops your skills with such patience, enthusiasm and warmth. It feels a home away from home and I am so lucky to be in a class with the loveliest of people ☺️. Craft is good for the soul and I recommend FiredUp Pottery for any budding creative person who wants to make their life a little (or lot) fuller and happier.
