Spent an enjoyable hour making a vase, with a lot of tuition, on a pottery wheel, after a few mistakes, I wasn't alone, the rest of the group did some mistakes as well, we all enjoyed the experience and as complete novices ended up with a usable item, wether it was a bowl,dish or a vase albeit with a great deal of help with a very patient Sharon. I can recommend this experience as something out of the ordinary to do.
I have rented one of the studios in The Hive and found it to be a really welcoming and friendly place. The classroom is always busy and the other studio renters are lovely people. The shop (which full disclosure, I don't yet have anything in myself) is super cute. There is such a wide range of really unique items and it's definitely worth a trip out just to visit it! I love how The Hive is supporting other small creative businesses in the area.
Beautiful hidden gem near the Transpennine trail close to Dunham Massey. Beautiful local artwork, handmade candles, soaps, ceramics. If you need a sophisticated souvenir come here.
