Kiki Black Studio

My mum & I had a lovely first session at Kiki's studio. We instantly felt at ease and welcome in Kiki and Simon's home studio. Neither of us have created any pottery before but we are so proud of our tealight houses. Kiki explained everything so clearly and guided us through each step. We enjoyed her stories and soul music! We are both looking forward to coming back & glazing our houses. Thank you!

My husband bought a family pottery experience for my birthday. We had a lovely time chatting with Kiki, who made us feel so welcome, as she talked us through the process to make some beautiful vases. Thank you Kiki (& Simon who provided refreshments) for such a lovely experience - I’m sure we will be back. 😊

My husband and I attended a taster at Kiki’s studio as a one off earlier this year. I loved it so much that I couldn’t help but come back for the 6 week block of classes. Kiki creates the most wonderful, welcoming and warm environment, let alone is the most knowledgeable and talented teacher/potter. Would recommend to anyone with no more than an interest in starting pottery to the most experienced maker! Thank you Kiki (and Simon!)

I had a wonderful couple of sessions with Kiki making a Gonk and then glazing it. Kiki gives clear instructions and is very helpful. She creates a lovely, friendly and supportive atmosphere. I really enjoyed my sessions and I can't wait to book again.

My wife and I had a taster day this evening as a wedding anniversary present and we both honestly had the best time! Kiki is an amazing teacher, kind and patient, and really encouraging. She is supported fantastically by Simon, and they make an incredible pair. They have built a wonderfully supportive and kind pottery community in Bicester, and I would encourage anyone thinking of having a go to take the dive and turn up for a taster. We will certainly be coming back to glaze the bowls we made in our session 😀 Thank you Kiki (and for the brilliant cups of tea Simon!)

I went on a taster with my friend and i really loved it. My husband said he hadn’t seen me so happy for a while and was really pleased I enjoyed the experience so much. I wish I lived nearer as I would make this a regular thing. But even with the 2 hour session my mind is excited to work on some ideas I e had. Kiki is an inspiration and a really lovely friendly teacher 🥰

Just booked a pottery class for myself with Kiki. I've heard such good things about Kiki's classes from friends who have taken classes with her. So friendly and really helpful. Highly recommend booking yourself and class or course. X
