Flint and Gaia

I highly recommend the throwing for beginners workshop. It was a fantastic Christmas present for my son, and Scarlett made it easy to arrange a mutually convenient date and time. The class itself was great; a professional set-up with excellent tuition. It really helped that there were only 2 of us - we were gently guided through the process, and were so pleased with the results. Scarlett is a wonderful teacher; patient, encouraging, and full of great advice. As I have tiny hands and my son really doesn't, we were shown different techniques to make the process easier. We ended up creating more pieces than expected, which was good practice - but also brilliant that we were able to pay for the additional pieces to be dried, turned, fired and glazed. (Excellent value) We're so excited to see the results, I will post more photos when we get the pots. Thanks Scarlett!

We booked this pottery class as a birthday activity and could not recommend it more! It was our first time trying pottery and we had the best experience. Scarlett was an excellent teacher and taught us a lot whilst keeping the session fun and relaxed. We will definitely return in the future!

What an amazing experience pottery throwing is, Scarlett was absolutely fantastic, she is a wonderful teacher and incredibly patient (which was needed 😂). I really couldn't recommend Flint and Gaia more and I am sure that I will be back in the future for more fun and mess.

Had a fabulous time here today, took my 80 year old Mum, as a birthday activity. Scarlett was excellent! as a tutor and as a host for our party of four, really enjoyed it, I can't wait to see our pots again in 6 weeks.

We went to a pottery throwing course for our wedding anniversary (I'll let everyone guess which one) and had a great time from start to finish. Scarlett does a great job of giving you the tools and understanding to go from knowing nothing to being able to create pot, bowl or vase. We had a smashing time and it's so worth doing and just a totally enjoyable experience! Thanks Scarlett

I'd absolutely recommend Flint &Gaia. Having enjoyed the throwing class with my partner, I returned on my own for the pumpkin building class. It was the perfect Sunday afternoon activity. Scarlet has a very natural way of giving instruction which is very clear but also very encouraging. Clear, precise and overall very friendly and relaxing. I can't wait to get my pumpkins back after they have been fired. We were able to go 'rogue' and develop a style to suit our level of competence and nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely go back and enjoy other classes in the future. Thanks Scarlet. X
