Marina Randall Ceramics

My wife and I spent a day learning how to throw some bowls on the wheel. Marina was a simply lovely teacher. Patient and encouraging, letting us be hands-on so that we learn from the outset. The day was even more enjoyable than we anticipated. We were simply engrossed and didn’t think about everything else! We were able to decorate them and now have four glazed bowls between us that will be a great memory of our day. Indeed, I can see myself doing this again! Thank you very much for teaching us the basics!

Marina ran a one day throwing workshop for myself and two friends. It was such fun! We managed to throw, trim and apply coloured slips to two bowls each. I can't wait to collect them once they have been glazed and fired. Marina is an excellent teacher. She is super patient and incredibly knowledgeable. She answered all of questions and talked us through each step of the process. She also demonstrated step by step what to do by throwing an example piece. If you've watched the 'Pottery Throwdown' and always wanted a go then my advice is to book this workshop. It exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you Marina! We will be back! Sarah

A truly lovely full day course with Marina, learning how to throw pottery and all the basics of clay. I learnt so much, and was such a joy to try throwing pottery for the first time under Marinas patient guidance. I trimmed my posts and glazed them with slips, so excited to collect the finished work! Thank you Marina! On a sunny day, her garden studio is the idyllic setting!
