Sea Drift Pottery Studio

Just finished a 4-day intermediate pottery throwing workshop with Pauline from Sea Drift - it was absolutely fantastic! Pauline was amazing at pitching things at just the right level, with a great mix of demos and hands-on practice. By the end of the 4 days, my throwing had really improved and I was working with much bigger pieces of clay. We stayed at Holy Loch marina in our motorhome, which was perfect - great location very close to the pottery with fantastic facilities. Definitely recommend both the workshop and accommodation if you’re looking to step up your pottery game!

If you're looking for great quality, beautifully made mugs then look no further. We originally had just one espresso mug and it was the best one we'd ever had. So we bought more! We're now very proud owners of two blue Hunky Chunky mugs and two blue espresso mugs and they are stunning and very sturdy. The service from Sea Drift Pottery was second to none. Quick responses and fast delivery. The packaging was superb, no way the mugs could smash with all that packed round it (see pic - all the packaging was from recyclable and reused materials as well so even better!). Wouldn't hesitate to buy more from here.

My Wife and I bought some wonderful pottery from the Ardnahoe distillery on Islay during our honeymoon. we bought a salt pot and an espresso cup and they're both amazing (photos below). I unfortunately broke the espresso mug ( they are very sturdy, I dropped it from a fair height) and contacted Pauline at Sea Drift Pottery to ask if I could buy a new one. She was super friendly and really responsive. Her espresso mugs were about to be fired so she reserved me two hunky chunky mugs, as well as two espresso mugs. Payment is quick easy and secure and my pottery is in the post!

I was lucky enough to have my one to one pottery lesson with Pauline at Seadrift Pottery last week. I have been an avid fan of the Great British Pottery Throw Down for years and my partner decided it was time I stopped talking about it and tried it out.......And I am so glad she did. Pauline was a great teacher and host and had me throwing (i think that is the term) mugs in no time at all. I will definitely be booking more time at Seadrift Pottery!

We had two wonderful sessions making pots on the wheel with Pauline's guidance and patient teaching. She made the sessions very relaxing and fun and helped us to get the best results in the time we had with her. We thoroughly recommend doing pottery classes with Pauline. You may also want to buy some of her own beautiful pottery.

Highly highly recommend the pottery class at Sea Drift studio! Pauline is an excellent tutor with infinite patience. We had never tried pottery making before - can’t say that I’ll ever be an expert at it but I had a brilliant afternoon trying my hand at it. Thanks Pauline for looking after us today ♥️

Had a pottery lesson with my grandson today, Pauline absolutely brilliant teacher. We both made something worthy of the hour and half. Really good hands on experience and worth every penny.
