The Edinburgh Pottery Studio

My partner and I had a wonderful time doing the couples wheel lesson with Yvette. It was our first time ever trying pottery and Yvette helped us every step of the way explaining everything and keeping us all in high spirits! In the end we ended up with some lovely pieces that Yvette then kindly glazed and fired for us. We are so happy with the results and are certain we'll be back before long! Highly recommend the private lessons as a great birthday or anniversary present.

My wife was given a visit to the The Edinburgh Pottery Studio as a 60th birthday gift from her best friend. She and her friend had a fabulous time, with lots of fun and laughter, trying to throw a pot. I would recommend this as a great special gift idea, she came home with a real buzz from the experience, and the two pots that she made are really good. The staff at the pottery obviously have great skill, talent and patience. Definitely worth a go.

I will be soon starting my second course at EPS. my pottery journey started at EPS after trying out a taster session in June and falling in love with pottery 🙂 Yvette is a wonderful instructor , supporting everyone independently of skill level and sharing her knowledge with us. The studio has all the equipment one might need to learn different aspects of pottery, from wheel throwing to sculpture , glazes etc. The environment is relaxed ,friendly, supportive and creative exploration is encouraged. I can't wait to continue developing my skills there !

Booked a 2 hour private class as a gift and we had an amazing time. Yvette was an incredible instructor she created such a great atmosphere that was both relaxing and fun, while also making sure we learned a lot, her guidance made it easy to get hands-on and create something special. Highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to try pottery!

We attended the two people/couples class in The Edinburgh Pottery Studio and it was great! Yvette was such a good teacher, she was very hands on, supportive, relaxed and patient with my mistakes. I was really pleased with the lovely pottery I have managed to make in 2 hours with zero previous experience. I have also learned a lot about the whole process (materials, kiln, painting etc). I left the class feeling happy with myself 🙂 I would highly recommend!

Me and my boyfriend did a beginners wheel and hand building course and it was great fun! Small class sizes, so we got lots of help. Yvette explained everything really well and feel like we learnt so much! Great snacks provided too :))
