Elly Wall Ceramics

I have been attending Elly's weekly pottery class for over two years and love it. Elly is welcoming and encouraging and has many year of experience. She guided me through various hand building techniques until I felt confident to experiment on my own. She is always on hand to advise with whatever I want to create. The group is small and friendly, I enjoy our chats and cup of tea together each week. I would highly recommend Elly's classes.

I’ve been going to sessions with Elly on and off for yeeeeears now! You can say I have the Pottery Bug for sure. The classes are so therapeutic and it’s great to chat to so many different people. Elly herself is wonderful. She’s a great teacher and overall really lovely person. (She makes a good cuppa too! 😆) If you can, book a class… you won’t regret it!

My first experience of Elly's warmth and expertise was making a planter pot on a workshop with a group of friends. Elly led us through the process with patience and humour and we all came away with lovely pots to be proud of! I then joined Elly's weekly classes and have learned a variety of hand-building and glazing techniques and have made all sorts of different items, both practical and decorative. Elly is full of ideas of things to make and techniques to try, but gives total freedom to decide what you would like to do. She is always on hand for suggestions and advice and to help rescue potential disasters! Her classes are always a joy. Highly recommended!

Pottery sessions are one of the highlights of my week! Elly is a brilliant teacher - always there with tuition, practical help and advice, thoughts and inspiration... and always allows us to follow our ideas and bring them to life. I've learnt such a lot and made great friends in the class. Highly recommended - don't delay - BOOK!

Spent a wonderful couple of hours at Elly Wall Ceramics creating beautiful tea-light houses. The small group was provided with clear templates to build our pieces, and each stage was demonstrated step-by-step, with plenty of support throughout. A really enjoyable, relaxed session – highly recommend!!

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Elly's studio throwing for the first time. Elly was incredibly friendly and an excellent teacher with a lot of patience!! The studio itself was bright and welcoming. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in trying pottery!
