Clay by Charlotte

I recently attended one of Charlotte’s Christmas decoration workshops with a friend, and we had such a lovely time. We were welcomed with a hot drink of our choice, which set the tone for a cosy, festive afternoon. The workshop itself was fun, creative and relaxed. With only a small group attending, it felt personal and easy to follow along. I’d definitely recommend going to one of Charlotte’s workshops if you’re looking for a hands-on festive experience.

Came across Charlottes work and saw she offered some 1 off classes. I got the chance to try speckled clay and I got to make the most beautiful matcha pot with 2 mini cups to go with it. 100% recommend, she creates a lovely environment and is a great teacher

I had a private lesson where I learnt how to make a mug. After picking my clay Charlotte went over each step in the process, clearly explaining the techniques in a way that was easy to understand and memorise. I don’t have much experience so I was surprised by how many techniques there are but I had so much fun and feel very proud of my mug. Thanks Charlotte it was a lot of fun! I will definitely be coming back!

While travelling from Australia, I stumbled upon Charlotte's pottery classes. I had never thrown clay on a wheel before, so you can imagine my surprise when under Charlotte's expert tuition I was able successfully throw vessels, learned to trim them and much much more. Charlotte is a patient, warm and fun teacher, with loads of knowledge and skill. I highly recommend her classes. Best thing I did while visiting Leicester.

Took a 9 person group who had never done pottery before and we all had a great time. Charlotte had impeccable communication prior to the event which made planning very easy. She was also a great host/teacher and the time flew by. Highly recommended!

I recently attended one of Charlotte's pottery socials and had a fantastic time! It was my first experience with handbuilding pottery, and Charlotte made me feel completely welcome and at ease. She was incredibly helpful throughout the session, offering guidance and encouragement. It was a great atmosphere to meet new people and unleash some creativity. I highly recommend Clay by Charlotte to anyone looking for a fun and unique activity!

We asked Clay by Charlotte to come and deliver a team building activity for our outdoor nursery team, and wow did she deliver! From the moment Charlotte arrived she put everyone at ease. The activity was a surprise for our team and most of them were a little apprehensive as they had never made anything out of clay before. Charlotte had all of the equipment needed and set everything up, we didn't need to do a thing. We had a clear introduction to the workshop and plenty of opportunities to ask questions if we were unsure about anything. It was also so nice that Charlotte had thought about every detail, bringing a speaker for music requests, and a 'lucky dip' of ideas for anyone that struggled for inspiration to help them decide what to make. Charlotte taught us all some hand building techniques and supported everyone with their creations. The workshop was really fun and actually a really therapeutic activity! Everyone enjoyed it and was really proud of their creations. Charlotte took them all away to be fired and glazed, we can't wait to see the finished creations in a few weeks! I would highly recommend Charlotte for a clay workshop or event activity, we will definitely be booking her again
