Sheen Pottery is undoubtedly one of the best studios in the area and across London! The space itself is clean, spacious, and incredibly well-organized, creating an environment that naturally boosts your creativity the moment you walk in. As a beginner, I found it to be the perfect place to learn the basics of hand-building while still being encouraged to tap into my intuitive side. Lindy is a phenomenal teacher; she strikes the perfect balance between being academic/technical and supportive of experimentation. She is full of ideas gathered from her years as an established ceramicist, which is so inspiring. The other teachers are equally friendly and knowledgeable, and Kath, the studio manager, is so accommodating and welcoming. One of the best features is the drop-in sessions. Once you’ve finished a beginner class, you can come back to practice using their tools, clay, and extensive library of books. These sessions are untutored, so I’d definitely recommend grabbing a taster class or signing up for one of their reasonably priced courses first. Beyond the pottery, it’s a great place to meet like-minded people. Making friends in such a safe, creative space has been a highlight for me. Highly recommended!

I did the 6-week mixed pottery course at Sheen Pottery Studio and I loved it! The teachers are friendly and extremely knowledgeable, and I enjoyed learning various skills in hand-building and throwing from them. It was great to learn the steps involved in making ceramics, and I was able to take home some beautiful pieces I created. Highly recommend.

First time doing a taster pottery class and I can say I enjoyed it. The ambience of the class was peaceful and therapeutic, as well as the process of learning how to throw the clay. Our teacher Rita, is very kind, patient, helpful and knowledgeable! I also love the small class size as our teacher can easily give attention to each learner!

We went for a taster session back in January and had a blast. Out teacher was super patient and helpful. The time flew past but offered so much creative freedom with space for trial and error. The pieces which were fired and glazed came out beautiful, would highly recommend 🙂

Lindy was calm, patient, and very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our session! Lindy coached us through throwing on the wheel and by the end of the session we had a couple of pieces to send through the kiln.

My girlfriend and I did a private session for my birthday. Could haven’t been more happy with the results. 2 hour class, we picked the colours and collected a week later. Couldn’t recommend this experience more! Knowledgable, Warm, welcoming staff, 10/10!
