Sophie Ambelas Ceramics

I attended Sophie's group ceramic BYOB class with five other friends and it was fantastic. She was so attentive and considerate. The vibe was wonderful Sophie is an experienced potter who sells her own stuff and has her own art exhibited. She was patient with us and helped us, this was important as we all had different ideas for the art we wanted to create.

I would highly recommend taking Sophie Ambelas’ pottery class. It was a very fun evening with the girls and I got to do something that I have always wanted to do. Sophie is incredibly talented and a fantastic teacher too, so it was such a great experience. She really took her time assisting us to create a wonderful piece of pottery for ourselves. Definitely try it for yourself!! 😊

I had such a lovely evening here doing a workshop. The ambience is perfect, Sophie it knowledgeable and patient - an excellent teacher, but she also let us have lot of time to be creative and experimental. I loom forward to another visit soon. Perfect activity for a catch up with friends, or to learn a new skill.

I highly recommend Sophie's pottery class. I took my wife on her birthday to one of her classes and we had a blast. Very welcoming and lovely environment and in addition to that Sophie is a fantastic teacher. She guided us very thoroughly through the process and we're very happy with our pieces.

I Just wanted to thank Sophie so much for this amazing evening together, she is fun a great teacher and the results are wonderful! I love my vase and I can't wait to go back for another session!! Highly recommended!!

My 8 years old son & I attended Sophie’s hand building pottery workshop and one-to-one wheel throwing session in December. We had a great experience. Sophie’s studio is very cozy and she is a great host. We felt welcomed and looked after. We were able to choose our own design for pieces we wanted to make and Sophie patiently guided us through the process. Our pieces turned out so beautiful! I couldn’t believe it was possible to achieve such a great result for someone who tried pottery for the first time. We loved the experience so much, that we returned for another couple of sessions in April and my son keeps asking me when we will go to Sophie’s again. She is great with children and my son felt at ease with her straight away. I can’t recommend Sophie’s workshops enough. You can see that she loves what she does!

Sophie is a fantastic host and tutor — she created such a warm and welcoming environment for everyone in the group. She was patient and supportive, guiding each of us to create a piece we were truly proud of. Her ability to share her skills and expertise was amazing. It was a great way to spend the evening with my mum, who was visiting for the weekend. Thank you, Sophie, for such an enjoyable evening. Mum had a fantastic time and is still buzzing from it! You really do host a great night 🥳🥰 We’ll definitely be back soon! 🤩🥳
