Studio One Ceramics

Highly recommend ceramics classes with Martha and Sophia, they are the best! Their classes provide the therapy you didn't know you needed! Classes are really accommodating for all levels and you can make pretty much anything you want. It's such a lovely setting inside the studio and the atmosphere is always enjoyable, fun and relaxing. Give it a go!

I first came to Studio One for a one off ceramics taster course. Three and a bit years later and I'm still there! The relaxed atmosphere and freedom to do whatever we want with the clay makes it a perfect mid-week retreat from the world. It has quickly become my favourite place in London, that I am so grateful to share with a wonderful bunch of fellow students and teachers. I would recommend it to anyone even thinking about finding a creative outlet. Just be warned, you will love it and you will end up with A LOT of pottery!

Such a great ceramics class with the fab teachers Martha and Sophie. Fun, laid back approach to ceramics suitable for any ability, with a lovely bunch of people. Would highly recommend

I highly recommend these classes where you can choose whatever you fancy making and the teachers, Martha and Sophie offer as much teaching or help as you need. They are so friendly which creates a great atmosphere in the whole class with everyone encouraging and appreciating each others’ work. I started a year ago and love the feeling of creativity it is giving me so not ready to stop yet.

I really enjoyed this ceramics course. Martha is a great teacher and works with people individually to guide you through what you want to make. The studio is a warm, creative environment. I’ll definitely sign up for more classes.

Update August 2024: Continuing to love pottery classes and I have now made two full size teapots and carried on with scraffito and porcelain work. Update April 2024 - I’m still a regular at the studio and loving how it’s given me the space to be creative. Added a couple of photos - miniature teapot and a scraffito jug with a magpie design. Thoroughly recommended! Wonderful opportunity to learn about ceramics - I’ve taken several classes here and had so much fun. Martha and Sophia are great teachers and show you lots of different ways to work with clay, and you learn really quickly. Here are a few things I’ve made in the last year.
