Sally Walker Ceramics

We had such a brilliant time at Sally’s pottery class! Sally was warm, patient, and made everything easy to pick up while keeping it fun and relaxed. Her home studio is lovely and we both finished the class with pottery we’re actually proud of. Highly recommend! We will be booking in again! 🙂

Amazing experience! Sally was calm and patient. She was very knowledgeable in her demo and then took us through step by step. Very encouraging! Fun experience made more special with personal touch! Can’t wait to see how our items come out of the kiln. Thank you so much! Will definitely be back!

I began having pottery lessons with Sally as I wasn’t making much progress by just hiring a wheel and trying to teach myself. Sally is so patient and is absolutely brilliant at breaking down skills to make them easy to learn. I’ve enjoyed making plates, bowls, a lemon squeezer, candle holder, a jug and plant labels with Sally’s help and they’re looking better with every attempt. Sally has taught me how to use the wheel and how to build by hand. I’ve also learned how to trim and glaze my pots. If you’re new to pottery, I would thoroughly recommend a lesson with Sally.

Sally’s an excellent teacher, she informative, patient and brings a sense of humour to the learning process. I’ve learnt loads and enjoyed all of it.

I was the happy recipient of a gift voucher for 2 sessions with Sally. Would highly recommend - I loved it! Sally immediately put this complete novice at ease in her lovely little studio. Clear explanations, calm pace, lots of encouragement and...bingo! I loved feeling the clay change shape on the wheel. Sally knew just when and how to provide support (no wobbly pots for me!). I learned lots. Give it a go. A brilliant gift idea, too!
