I’ve been a member / student at many different ceramic studios over the years and I really love this one. It’s mega friendly, with as much help and guidance as you want / need. There’s tonnes of different glazes and lots of equipment to use, plus Isabella & Chantelle are always there to advise and give their creative input when needed… They make an excellent cup of coffee too! Highly recommended 🙂
The best place to meet new people and learn amazing crafts. The studio is filled with such a friendly atmosphere, everyone is welcome. Isabella and Chantelle are both incredibly skilled and have patience to explain stuff over and over and over.
Kate T and family had THE BEST morning at The Mudworks in St Leonards, doing a pottery workshop for her birthday 🎂 We were a party of 9 and Sarah, the facilitator was amazing at giving us all equal attention, tips, advice and encouragement, along with cups of tea and biscuits! It was so fun watching as our pieces emerged and seeing how different everyone's approach was. We all ended with pieces made and painted and can't wait to see what they look like in 3 week's time when we pick them up after firing and glazing. £40 p/p for three hours tuition, materials, tea and biscuits included! Post all the stuff that has to happen after you've gone to finish your pieces, seems very reasonable. If you want a fun, creative activity for birthday, hen do, or just because, we cannot recommend highly enough. Just brilliant 👏
Fab place to learn, I had absolutely no experience & am now enjoying making vases, jugs, tea light holders & plates to name a few. A photo of a vase & bowl I made. Lovely people & everyone very helpful.
Having such an incredible experience on the 6 week pottery course mudworks offers. Sarah is absolutely lovely, passionate and helpful. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try their hand at something new and immersive!

Chantelle and Isabella create a relaxed and friendly environment in the pottery and are always happy to help and share their expertise. The studio is really well equipped, with everything you could possibly need… not to mention copious amounts of tea and biscuits! I highly recommend The Mudworks whether you’re looking for a taster workshop, weekly class, studio membership or to buy some beautiful handmade ceramics! 🏺✨💛
