I cannot recommend Eastcott Studios enough. I've been going there once a week since Christmas and have been trying out a bit of hand building. Jo who runs the class is so friendly, patient and encouraging. She really makes you feel at home. You can also see her beautiful creations at the studio; they inspire you to try them yourself.
Raku sessions back to back for a full day of fun. Great atmosphere and she left us the freedom to play with our ideas and try things, and gave advice when we were doing something that was not going to work well. Great experience. I would bring some bisque fired pieces now that I know what I'm doing. Great experience!
My son and I enjoyed a fantastic hour at Eastcott Studios learning the basics of throwing pots. Our session finished far too soon! Jo was patient, encouraging and helpful. I can highly recommend this studio for children and adults!
All seem rushed to me didn't have enough time on the pottery wheel and I was told by jo its all or nothing with you isn't it didn't know what she meant. Also someone that work there was rude to me on arrival well I'm not going into that. bit of a long story.
Eastcott Studios is my happy space. Jo instills confidence in her gentle teaching methods and I love coming to the studio. Raku events are so special - an absolute must.
Brilliant afternoon raku firing. Lovely people, lovely place. If you haven't visited it's a must lots of different art classes and lovely cafe.
Had a wonderful time pottery throwing with Jo to celebrate our second wedding anniversary! We really enjoyed ourselves and learnt so much about the process!
