The Ceramic Studio

What a magnificent place, we had a morning taster session making a mug by hand and then some pots on the wheel. Everyone was was super helpful. Delicious coffee and biscuits for the mid morning break. Our work is left there to be fired and glazed then to be collected in a few weeks time. We had a brilliant morning and would 100% recommend it.

Enjoyable day learning new skills being creative. Our mentors were very helpful and patient with us, the end results were better than expected. Lunch was very nice but small for me personally and it would be helpful if you sign post the buildings so as not to get confused about which one to collect from. Hence 4*

I have been here twice and thoroughly enjoyed both days. The space is lovely, the teachers are attentive and helpful! When I joined the day experience, which included lunch, I was very impressed with the food made by Caroline. It was delicious and plentiful! The dessert was amazing! I would highly recommend the Ceramic studio. My one and only suggestion would be to play some background music especially when everyone is sitting around the table and there are a few awkward silences, so quiet you can hear yourself chewing 🤣. A little music would help to create a more relaxed atmosphere around the table I think. Other than that I cannot fault it! The parking onsite is also ideal, and the location is wonderful, peaceful and scenic.

I recently attended a Saturday workshop, in this beautiful farm setting, as a surprise birthday present. The staff were very good at teaching, demonstrating, helping and supporting us to get hands on and find our own flair with each project. The food was delicious and the coffee and cakes; all vetted for my personal allergy issues. I ended up with more clay on my face than on the wheel at one point, but I loved having a go and laughed a lot. A gentle, absorbing, therapeutic experience, so I highly recommend this place and will be back.

I was gifted the taster session for Christmas and it was a fantastic experience! So much so, that my partner and I are seriously considering joining one of the long courses in the future. Who knew that "throwing" and shaping clay was so much fun and very cathartic. We're excited to get back into it

My son and I booked a couple of days before onto a taster day. Communication prior was really good despite it being last minute and the quality of teaching was excellent. A really enjoyable and informative day with a lot of individual attention that has inspired me to book a term course in the Springtime.

Last Saturday I was fortunate to spend a really enjoyable taster day at The Ceramic Studio. I was gifted the experience by my husband and would recommend it to anyone who is curious about the world of clay. In the morning we made a bowl and a mug, then stopped for most incredible lunch. The afternoon was spend throwing pots (badly!) which I might say looks a lot easier than it actually is! Such a great, fun day out. Thank you.
