What an awesome morning spent with Pam learning how to throw pottery! My fiancé surprised me with this gift for my birthday and we both had the most wonderful pottery throwing session expertly coached and warmly hosted by Pam in her lovely studio. Such a therapeutic activity, and we can’t wait to be able to pick up our finished creations soon.. thank you so much Pam.. and hopefully can visit again in future. Gem & Tom
Spent an amazing day with Pam at her studio, beautiful rural setting. Loved seeing her work. She was teaching me hand building techniques with porcelain. Very relaxed working environment. Learnt many new tips from her. had the best day making, chatting, lunch in the sun. Well worth coming here to the studio. Will be back again hopefully.
I visited Pam’s workshop with my partner for an introductory session on using the potters wheel. Pam was warm, welcoming and fascinating to listen to. She is hugely experienced and helped as both, as total beginners, to produce some lovely pots. The experience was hugely enjoyable, immersive and relaxing (with a bit of a work out to keep the potters wheel spinning). If you are looking for something a bit different and fun then I highly recommend Pam’s workshops.
Pam's studio is in a small stone barn in the middle of the countryside between Totnes and Ashburton. We visited for a two-person pottery throwing session as Spring was warming up which made for a lovely setting. Pam was a fab teacher and is doing lots of experimental pottery/artwork that was fascinating to learn about while we worked on our own pots. While the quality of our own handiwork may leave something to be desired it will be great to have something to take home, and we had a truly excellent experience. Pam's recommendation for a nearby pub lunch was also spot on.
Amazing experience with brilliant instruction. Our mornings of spinning our pots and glazing them were informative, productive and most of all great fun!
Great place to learn about pottery, and to make your own. Staff very helpful and always welcome
