Pottery Classes Cornwall

I had 5 lessons with Justin, and as a fairly slow learner, I found him to be very patient! Things started to fall into place with my throwing in the last lesson, and I'm pleased with the progress I made. Justin is easy to get along with and put me at ease. He's clearly a very experienced potter. I think he's had an electrical problem with his kiln and has been dealing with the loss of a relative lately, so he's not had his kiln working, but I'm hoping he'll be able to fire my pots and I can collect them in the coming weeks. We are a family of four and all had a great time throwing pots at Justin’s studio and learnt so much from him in just a few hours. He was so patient and relaxed, and we all managed to create something we were happy with, which was a bonus! He fit us in with little notice and over the Easter weekend, which was really kind. Looking forward to having our pots fired and putting them to good use 🙂

I bought my eldest son (12) a pottery class for Christmas. From the booking process to the actual day, Justin was informative and helpful. He put my son at ease during the session, sharing his wealth of experience and technical ability whilst also making it inclusive for a beginner and enjoyable. Finley had great fun creating 2 pots with the wheel and various other pieces of equipment and he is very much looking forward to getting his pots home after they are fired and glazed. Thankyou, Justin, for a great experience for Finley and myself.

Absolutely fantastic 😁👍🏻 Loved every minute of it!! Arrived at a beautiful studio that looks out over the river and Truro Cathedral, to be greeted by Justin who was absolutely brilliant. After a informative demonstration, my wife and I both had a go at making our very own clay masterpieces. That turned out pretty good for a couple of beginners We both really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend the experience to anyone

My partner and I an amazing experience in the class for my partners birthday surprise! Justin was funny and easy to get along with, which really helped ease my nerves. He’s really helpful at explaining how to get things right and has lots of stories to share. We loved the pots we created and were excited to collect them. However, I've been trying to contact Justin since January about picking them up, but unfortunately, I've been ignored every time. It's really disappointing because we were looking forward to it and Justin was so lovely during our lesson. I don’t want to leave a bad review, but I feel quite fed up with the lack of communication. I hope I can collect them someday in the near future. It's frustrating when others are experiencing the same issue with communication, judging by other reviews. Hopefully, Justin is okay, and there's a valid reason for the lack of response. Hopefully, we can get in touch soon and sort things out, as I’m very frustrated and wouldn’t recommend him again at this rate. He’s even read some of my messages on Instagram and just ignored them. I find this really rude, which is a shame because he offers such great services but has completely ruined his image by doing this.

We had such a great laugh with Justin 🙂 He is a brilliant teacher and the 3 hours we had booked in flew by. After a quick bit of tuition he lets you get stuck into making your own clay pots under his guidance. I can imagine kids absolutely loving the class but our party of thirty-somethings also got a huge amount out of it (including our own pottery creations). One of the best things on holiday I've ever done. Highly recommend if you're down in Cornwall.
