Black Shed Studios

Amazing day at Black Shed Studios for my birthday!! 6 friends and I had a fab time learning new skills, none of us had any artistic background but we all enjoyed our day under the calm guidance of Sandy. We had a lovely cheese platter lunch over looking Sandy's gardens with views of Ashdown Forest. Great artistic results, lots of fun and laughter in a lovely spot. Would hugely recommend Black Shed Studios for groups or friends wanting a different, fun and creative day out.

No ordinary art class. I happened on The Black Shed Studio and Sandy Infield's art class by accident when googling local art groups for watercolour tuition.  One look at her amazingly lively style was enough to sign me up. After 2 terms I have learnt so much and found the confidence to trust my own judgement. Sandy is an exceptional teacher. With seemingly little effort, she gets the best out of everyone, encouraging them first to really look at the subject and then challenging them to develop their own style.  She teaches almost by osmosis - somehow the fog clears and you can see exactly what you have to do. Watercolour, acrylic, oil, ink, batik, in studio or out, portraiture, landscapes, traditional or abstract - whatever you choose, Sandy will expand your knowledge and direct your focus to improve your understanding and execution. There will be no stopping you, once you start. I thoroughly recommend her classes.
