The Hollesley Pottery

We really enjoyed our pottery taster session today. Jane was lovely and so helpful. She took us through everything step by step. We learnt as we went along and we managed to throw a pot each. It was a great way to spend an afternoon and we can't wait to collect our masterpieces! Thanks Jane for making us feel so welcome at your lovely little pottery. Lisa and Jonathan

Two of us just spent a great fun and very relaxing morning learning to create our first clay pots with Jane. It’s completely absorbing and takes you away from the stress and distraction of our digital world. Jane is a super teacher, making everything relaxed and easy to understand. While we had all the fun, lovely Jane will now finish them, fire and glaze them. What an experience and we’re looking forward very much to bringing home our pots when they’re ready.

We had an absolutely fabulous afternoon throwing pottery! Jane was very friendly and knowledgeable and taught us such a lot about the process of making pottery. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend! Thank you Jane!

Today was my second pottery session with the amazing Jane Daly. I had made my green man using leaves from my garden as templates and today returned to add slip and glaze to him after his bisque firing. Jane makes sure that you are always learning about the process and techniques. Being a trained teacher as well as an experienced potter, she does this brilliantly. I have loved my time in the studio and look forward to my next visit. The Earl Grey tea in handmade cups and teapot is rather lovely too! Thanks Jane, your studio and work are so inspirational and fascinating. See you again soon!

A lovely afternoon spent learning about pottery and getting to 'throw' a couple of pots on the potters wheel. Looking forward to receiving the finished pots once fired and glazed in the kiln. It was great fun, and Jane was a very good tutor with lots of patience thankfully! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. We loved the experience.

Thank you Jane! I can’t recommend her pottery session enough! She is an excellent teacher, who encouraged us to create freely and the studio itself was charming. Great for learning beginner skills and techniques. Overall, an excellent morning/afternoons activity to spend with friends.

had a fantastic afternoon with Jane doing pottery, and I can’t recommend the experience highly enough. From the moment I arrived, Jane made me feel welcome and at ease. She’s not only incredibly friendly but also extremely knowledgeable about pottery and clearly passionate about teaching. Her instructions were clear and easy to follow, and she was so patient and encouraging throughout the session. I learned so much from working with the clay to shaping and refining pieces and felt really proud of what I was able to create by the end. Jane created such a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and it was genuinely one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling afternoons I’ve had in a long time. Thank you, Jane, for such a memorable experience.
