This place is incredible. A proper gem in the heart of York. I took a course three years ago and couldn’t wait to return once I’d had my baby and become a member. I’ve been a member now since May and truly can’t fault it, I’ve learnt so much from my peers and the community side of it is has been a lovely, welcome surprise. I’ve gone from barely being able to throw to making whatever I want very quickly. The knowledge of Caroline and Angela is so vast and they are constantly answering my incessant questions. Couldn’t recommend more!
Can’t say enough good things about Clay Space! I did a 9 week course in Autumn 25 and have the been a member ever since - it’s truly the highlight of my week. Angela and Caroline are so knowledgeable and helpful, and as a whole the community of members is really lovely and I learn so much from everybody. The space itself is just as great - plenty of wheels and tools, and a comfortable space.
A great studio in the city centre, a really welcoming atmosphere and a lovely space to work in. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. Perfect for one off experiences, courses or membership. Would definitely recommend!
I've been coming to clay space for about a year now on multiple courses. I love the community that's built here. It also provided me with a much needed creative outlet. The highlight of my week.
Such a wonderful place to come and make pottery, everyone is so lovely and supportive, I can't recommend this studio enough!!
Clay Space York is a lovely and friendly place! The teachers are so helpful on the courses and I love the freedom I get from my membership. So happy I found this place!
