Thoroughly enjoyable first experience into the world of pottery. Wendy is an incredibly skilled potter, and was very informative in guiding us when throwing clay for the first time at her wonderful studio. We couldn’t have asked for a better teacher and would highly recommend to anyone, given how friendly and welcoming Wendy has been. We cannot wait to book more sessions soon!
I’ve been to a couple of her courses now and have found them to be such a great way to be creative & relax. Wendy is an excellent teacher & is encouraging to all her students, regardless of technical ability. I came away with several pieces I’m actually proud to display/use.
I started going to Wendy's classes as a complete beginner, my only experience was making pinch pots at school. Wendy is the most wonderful teacher, warm, friendly, patient and kind and, under her guidance, I've learned so much about pottery and decoration and hand built some wonderful things. It's been seven years since I went to my first class and I keep going back for more. The classes are small and inclusive and I've met some lovely people over the years. If you're looking for a pottery class in Bristol then Wendy should be your first port of call.
Wendy is the best! Her range of mugs and jugs are just beautiful. I’ve also done a couple of her courses and made some lovely pieces, no experience necessary, she walks you through everything in such a lovely friendly way and I’ve always been absolutely delighted with the results at the end. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I would highly recommend Wendy's pottery turning workshops she is an excellent teacher and allowed us as a couple of novices to create some lovely, if a little wonky bowls!
Wendy is the most patient and encouraging teacher. I’ve been going to her clay courses for 5 years now and I’m still learning new things each time. Wendy really puts her heart and soul into her own work but also into inspiring a new generation of potters.
My husband got me a gift of 1:2:1 time with the lovely Wendy Calder, making three pots on the wheel. I had a great time! Wendy fired and glazed the pots for me to collect once they were ready. I’d definitely recommend this!
