Throw to Fire

What a great experience! My mum bought me and my partner this experience for Christmas, and it was such a fantastic idea. Having never thrown before, Bex was a brilliant teacher - patient, clear, with a sense of humour! - and we successfully made 4 pots! Bex let us stay a little longer so I could make my second pot too, which was very generous for a rainy Monday evening. I'd highly recommend this experience, my partner has even started looking to continue potting now - hobby unlocked!

Bex is super lovely and has a beautiful studio in her garden. I had the most amazing time. Bex explained everything in detail, making it easy to follow, understand, and implement her instructions. She was very supportive and lets you guide the sessions. You also get to keep the pieces you make which is lovely. I would love to have more lessons in the future! Thank you

We had a 2 hour lesson for two with Bex at Throw to Fire. Brilliant fun. Everything was really well explained, in a friendly and relaxed manner. In our two hours we made three bowls to the point that they were ready to dry, then be glazed and fired. Bex did these final steps after our session and we collected our pieces a couple of weeks later. And we are so happy with the results (proud first time potters 😊). Highly recommended. Thanks Bex

I bought the 2hr pottery throwing class for my Fiancée for Christmas. We were complete novices and slightly nervous at being absolutely terrible but Bex was so wonderfully patient and explained and guided us through the process and stages clearly; we were quickly put at ease and very comfortable. Although it was a present for my partner, I enjoyed it just as much and we both each had plenty of time on the wheel. We can't wait to pick up our creations and look forward to the next time we can throw again! A truly lovely experience and it makes a great and memorable gift.

I enjoyed a pottery lesson with my daughter. Bex’s teaching style was clear, gentle and encouraging. I have always wanted to learn how to throw a pot and Bex enabled both of us to achieve success. It was a fantastic memorable, experience. Messy hands and much laughter.

Bex was absolutely wonderful. She was accommodating right from the start when we showed up wet through from the rain, and made us feel comfortable in her lovely studio with cups of tea. Me and my partner were both completely new to throwing and Bex demonstrated the process very clearly so that we fully understood. We had full freedom to create something we were happy taking home, and the whole process was super enjoyable. Highly recommend!!
