It started with a taster session, something I would definitely recommend, now I’m slowly learning a new skill…Brenda & Dion are both excellent, offering encouragement & tuition when needed but also standing back and letting your find your own groove..happy to recommend and be part of the Wednesday crew…
I have been coming to The Pottery Shed for over 2 years now and it is a great place to meet people whilst learning and developing new skills. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun with Bren and Deon always on hand to help with your projects. I started out on a 12 week course where I learned the basics of hand building and wheel work and I just kept coming back!
Came to the Pottery Shed for a 12 week course 36 weeks ago and I'm not planning on going anywhere else! Brenda and Dion are a great team. The atmosphere is always pleasant and the inspiration tap always flowing.
Love the Pottery Shed! Great classes and atmosphere. I really enjoyed my beginner course. So much that I have now been coming for nearly a year. It’s very affordable compared to others places, for what is supplied, the firings and glazes and equipment. The studio is a great location just off the motorway North of Bristol. It is very well equipped, and organised. Run by the lovely and Brenda and Dion who have decades of pottery teaching, kiln knowledge and ceramics expertise, and a passion for pottery. I have been very impressed and would highly recommend. The classes make for a fun social group of like-minded creatives enjoying wheel and hand built ceramics to a very high level or just pottering for fun and mindfulness. There is a wide range of aptitudes and expert in every class but I have always found it very inclusive and welcoming.
I love going to my pottery class at The Pottery Shed. The time passes far too quickly because the environment is very happy and supportive. Brenda is always pleased to share her knowledge and help with ideas and technique whether you are a complete beginner or someone with more expertise or experience. Deon is also very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The location is beautiful and the workshop contains everything you need to make pots and friends!
Great studio and great teachers! I've been on multiple courses over the years, and am now a regular student. I have learned so much and made some beautiful pieces 😄. The atmosphere is really friendly too. I really look forward to going to the class every week.
Brenda and Deon are wonderful and dedictated mentors. The working space and technical support is very good, and the mental and emotional environment inspiring Highly recommend for pottery newbies and more the more experienced. I am loving it -after my first 11 weeks
