Lovebird Studios - Pottery and Art School

Absolutely loved the 6 week wheel-throwing pottery class with the lovely Lottie - a very relaxed atmosphere and excellent tutoring all inside a beautiful converted barn studio space. I'm already coming back regularly with their Clay Club sessions which i'm loving! Anyone looking to learn pottery and ceramics should definitely check this place out. Highly recommended!

Had fantastic six week throwing course with Lottie. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and enjoyed every minute. Lots of time to be creative and Lottie has a great teaching technique. Definitely hooked and will be going back for more!

Great fun on this course. Lotte is such a good teacher and the studio is wonderful, constantly evolving and improving with everybody learning lots along the way. Thank you so much for a super learning experience, I feel that I have really improved. Looking forward to the next course.

We had an amazing experience at Lovebirds Studio and can’t recommend it highly enough! We celebrated our daughter’s 10th birthday with a pottery session followed by pizza, and it was an absolute hit with all the kids. Mary was wonderfully warm and engaging - she made the session fun while also teaching the children new skills in a way that really held their attention. Raph was fantastic from start to finish, handling everything from our initial enquiry to the day itself with professionalism and genuine care. Thank you both for making the day so special. We’re already thinking about booking a session just for the parents - it was that good!

Absolutely amazing experience, Lotte and her family were super lovely and inviting. Overall it made for a really wholesome experience that I think you miss out on with larger more corporate pottery studios. Make sure to give this place a try! Enjoyed a great six weeks intro to hand building and throwing with Lottie. Pigdown is a lovely warm, friendly, approachable environment to play and experiment alongside great people... and I keep going back for more. Lottie's teaching is very open, encouraging, experimental and FUN, she makes the world of pottery accessible to all, would recommend.
