We recently completed a 9 week wheel throwing course with Andy and it was a fantastic experience! The sessions were so much fun and very informative. Andy is highly skilled and creates beautiful pieces which are displayed in the studio. Throughout the course he demonstrated everything and was always there to lend a hand whenever we needed it. We made some beautiful pieces (about 20 in total) including pots, mugs and bowls. The course gave us the chance to try out different techniques, from wheel throwing and constructing mug handles to glazing. We would highly recommend this course.
My husband and I went for a pottery taster session and loved being shown the basics of how to throw on the wheel. It was great to experience what is involved in creating some small pots, and very enjoyable. Came away with a great sense of achievement, and an even greater respect for the skill of potters like Andy.
My friend and I had a 2 hour taster session with Andy and it was great fun! Got to make a few cups that will be glazed and fired a couple times by Andy before we collect it in 6(?) weeks time. Food-safe, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe. Even picked up a gift for a friend while there from his collection :D. Would recommend!
Excellent. Andy is a lovely, knowledgable guy. His classes are fascinating, funny and engaging. I’d highly recommend to anyone - I was a complete beginner and ended up with lots of nice bowls, coffee cups and pots. Cheers Andy
My partner and I booked in for a 2hr class and it was a great experience. Andy was extremely patient and created a very chilled and relaxed atmosphere. We were absolute beginners and we left this class with the knowledge of the basic first steps of pottery. Would highly recommend!
Such a great class! I highly recommend it, great teaching and amazing glazes. You come away with beautiful pieces of work-even when you find the wheel tricky like me! Andy is kind and very patient and I would love to go on another course!
We went down for a group class with 5 of us and really enjoyed it! The bits and pieces that are for sale are also gorgeous and make lovely gifts. I have a couple of the ramen bowls and they’re my favourite. Highly recommend a visit!
