Gemma runs small classes for all abilities and is an excellent teacher with endless patience. It's a great way to totally switch off from everyday stresses. Having completed the beginners course and follow up intermediate course I now attend weekly open access sessions and couldn't imagine ever giving up. Beware pottery is totally addictive!

I’ve been attending classes here for nearly two years . I started with the beginners course and fell in love with pottery - I now attend a weekly open access course where Gemma allows you freedom to try out new ideas and is on hand to support you with more ambitious projects as you develop your skills . Studio is based in a charming setting and Gemma is amazing - not only in her own right as a talented ceramicist but also as an infinitely patient and encouraging teacher . Pottery is not only relaxing but deeply rewarding . Fulfilled a bucket list dream to throw a pot and caught the bug, thanks to Gemma's fabulous teaching and enormous patience. I enjoyed the beginner's course so much I went on to do the intermediate and have learned so much along the way thanks to Gemma's knowledge. Each group has been of mix of people at different points on their ceramics journey in a supportive and relaxed space. I've even signed up my teens to ataster session and they also loved it. They're so happy with the pots they made. Highly recommended!

Gemma is a fantastic tutor and artist in her own right. She created such a fun and engaging environment during the 4 week course and I was able to leave with some new skills and my very own ceramic pieces! Highly recommended.

Warning - it started with a taster class last year. Fast forward 18 months and now all my clothes are caked in clay, my house is full of pots and I'm completely addicted. Excellent classes, expertly taught in a wonderful environment. Gemma is a top class instructor and great at teaching at your level so you always feel like you're progressing. I recommend her classes without hesitation.

I had a lovely time at one of the taster sessions with two of my family members. We all have different skill levels (mostly none at all!), but Gemma talked us through the process, answered all our questions, and made sure we felt comfortable. I completed an intermediate pottery course with Gemma last year and it was excellent. She guided us through the whole process; preparing the clay, throwing on a wheel, trimming, attaching handles and glazing. She was very responsive to individual needs and I made a huge improvement. Since then I have joined a small group on one of Gemma’s open access evenings each week. She has taught me how to make pots with lids, plates, lemon squeezers and I learnt how to make large vases on her throwing large course. I have come away with some pieces that I am hugely proud of and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the other people in my group under her guidance. I would thoroughly recommend one of Gemma’s courses to any budding potter.
