I booked to do this as a treat for Mother’s Day with my mum, and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Susan was so kind and welcoming and was really the perfect hostess, her studio really is a hidden gem, perfect for smaller groups wanting a more personal experience, there was soo much choice in what we could paint and Susan showed us soo many different techniques, we have both come away with not only lovely memories but some beautiful pieces we will treasure too! Highly recommend for any one of any ages! We will definitely be coming back!

This visit was worth every penny. I left it late to arrange something for my daughters 9th birthday in the summer hols and was expecting the usual ‘we are fully booked’ reply with a few days to go, only to get a really prompt message from Susan to say she could fit us all in at the time we wanted. Costs were made clear up front with pics shared of the pottery we could choose for our price range and all items finished in Susan’s on site oven. Her working studio is just lovely. On arrival, we weren’t disappointed. We were met outside the house with a welcoming smile and warm greeting. Susan talked lovingly about her studio and life while we painted (I wasn’t planning on having a go myself but wanted to straight away when we all walked in - a request that was kindly and flexibly accommodated). The children I had with me (aged 9-11) were all made to feel so engaged, relaxed and welcome (Susan has 6 of her own and many grandchildren and it showed in the relaxed yet enthusiastic and happy way she approaches things). I would go back in a heartbeat. It was a baking hot day so we were all offered cold drinks (I was even given a lovely iced latte as I was in need of the caffeine but not a hot drink). From the children to me as Mum, we were left feeling so well restored and happy. Thank you Susan for welcoming to your lovely studio. We loved every minute of our time with you.
