Cernamic Deptford

Went as a new experience with my partner for our anniversary weekend celebrations. Ariana was a great and attentive teacher and it was easy to ask for help (or saving when I messed up the shaping of my clay ). I liked how interactive the class was and how many lumps of clay we were given to practice with and try out. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to try something new. Thanks again, Ari!

I’ve just completed an improvers course at Deptford Cernamic and absolutely loved it! I had no idea how technical pottery could be, but with the Cernamic team’s support and guidance I was able to really get to grips with the concepts and develop my skills. I still have a way to go, but I feel confident that I’m in great hands and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the creative challenge. What a wonderful way to start the new year! Big love to the whole team—and all the new friends I have made along the way! I'll be back!

Super fun, learnt lots in the two hour wheel throwing class. Sam was a fantastic teacher. Even have a little keep sakes!

I'm so happy that I found Cernamic studio, the amazing vibe inside and the super teachers, Nam, Suzie and Annie. I did the beginner's course and fell in love with the whole process. Nam teaches you so throughly, about all aspects of pottery making that it makes you even more curious. The joy of seeing something you made come out of the kiln is amazing. Even if it's rubbish! I'm now on the improver's course which I'm loving. You can turn up with an idea and Nam and the crew will teach you how to do it. The community inside Cernamics is also awesome. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help you. Totally recommend. Go and start your pottery journey.

This is my second time attending a class at Cernamic’s, but my first time at their Deptford studio. Phineas was a great teacher who made it fun but also made sure that we would go away with something to show for the class! I can’t wait to come back already - thank you!

Excellent taster session. Ariana and Lucy were really helpful and explained everything clearly. Pots look great, so glad to be taking them home. Thank you 🙂

It was a fun and relaxed environment with an excellent tutor and assistants on hand to help. I might have preferred working my piece along with the tutor to make the steps easier to recall rather than watching the full demo first. Would also have liked to have fixed my own mistakes with advice rather than hands-on help as it felt like I didn’t really make any final product myself. The hand building was also fun and an opportunity to be extra creative. Very welcoming and I would thoroughly recommend it for fun, self-expression and to learn the beginning of a new skill. Thank you to Annie and co.
