I recently finished a five week beginners throwing course with Jess and had a wonderful experience! I liked the format of the class, which starts with a tutorial and then gives you time to practice on your own, with a few reminders throughout the session. Jess was a patient instructor and I loved how my pots turned out! Highly recommend a session here if you want to learn more about pottery!

I did the 5 week beginners pottery course with Jess and it was brilliant! I learnt how to use the throwing wheel and different techniques, ending up with 6 really lovely bowls I took home. The classes were informative and friendly with the perfect balance of teaching and hands on learning. Jess is also great, offering a tea at the beginning of every class and always providing tips and help to everyone. I would highly recommend as a gift or if you’re looking for something new to learn. I had never used a wheel before and I got the hang of it pretty quickly. There was also enough skill based teaching to hone in your technique if you are already a good potter but Jess has other classes that would better suit more professional needs. At the end of the course we had the option to glaze our pots with multiple different glazing options. I chose a few different colours which came out beautifully!

The 5 weekly beginners pottery class was really excellent, a fantastic foundation in how to throw, trim and glaze pots. Jess gave excellent and patient guidance and we came away with some beautiful pots - hugely satisfying. I’d recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried throwing clay before.

Great place to make your first pottery steps! Jess was very attentive and tried her best to help us not to ruin every piece. I also liked the location - it’s located at the farm, so it’s like you are in the village!

I took the 5 week beginner course and absolutely love it! Skye was a wonderful teacher and made me fall in love with throwing. We learned everything from throwing, trimming and glazing and by the end of course, I got to go home with 6 finished pieces (extra pieces were £5 each)!

I took part within a small group of people on the Weekend Intensive course, where on the first day we used the wheel to make cylinders and dishes, and the second day to trim them up and add handles ready for Jess to fire them. Jess is an amazing teacher so patient, helpful and I had a really fun weekend learning a new skill. I can’t wait to glaze my dishes! Thanks Jess!

I started with a taster class and loved it so much I had to go for more so signed up for a 5 week course straight away. Skye is such a fun and attentive teacher. The studio is also on a farm which made it really special and felt like you were in the countryside. Great way to disconnect from your busy day at work. Would highly reccommed this as an experience.
