A really brilliant and informative plate making and painting workshop! Relaxed atmosphere and such a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon learning new skills. Sorrel provided really lovely inspiration books and examples and talked us through the steps to make everything feel easy - allowing us to explore the process in a personal and creative way! Also a really lovely space to work in. Will definitely be booking more soon!
Loved our mug making workshop here! The instructor was super sweet, patient and knowledgable. She went through all the instructions clearly and gave us space to explore/ be creative at our own pace while proactively helped us with our mugs when needed. Their space is a little hard to find but I loved how bright and airy their space was (filled with plants in their front garden area!). Would recommend!!
Having been part of a handful of studios over the past 10+ years this is most definitely the best studio I have been part of! Sadly had to leave as moved out of London but the team here are excellent, professional and very friendly. There is a real sense of community, sharing/exchange of knowledge and encouragement to develop and grow your own practice which I have been so grateful for. The staff are always on hand and offer support and guidance as well as building a strong community with other members. It's a very open, friendly and welcoming place and despite it being in an unusual spot of London it's a great hidden little gem. I also love the fact that we can join the unique classes which are fantastic and have not disappointed me or my family/friends when we've attended!
A true hidden gem! So grateful for Sorrel and Freya for hosting us at their first ever hen party - couldn't recommend more if you're looking for a wholesome, creative, hen doo event! Sorrel led a bespoke workshop inspired by Athena and the female form, giving us all the creative freedom to have fun with our ideas with their hands on assistance. Even as beginners, we thoroughly enjoyed learning about the techniques and history of pottery. Great communication ahead of the day and after - we're all proud owners of glazed candle holders, by far the best pottery workshop I have been to in London! Thank you again x
The most amazing pottery studio! I was lucky to be a member and part of this beautiful community for over 2 years here 😊. The memberships are affordable and flexible (I did 5h usually over 1 or 2 days per week) and include free access to tools, glazes, reclaim clay and firing costs which is great for anyone starting the pottery journey or if just don't want to invest in everything straight away. The studio is run amazingly by Sorrel who also runs so many incredible courses to help develop your skills which you can take without a membership or with one at a discount. I took the tile making and raw glazing course which was super informative and fun! The highlight for me was the amazing community at Sustainable Makers who were always welcoming and friendly as well as being a wealth of knowledge and inspiration. Highly recommend for anyone looking at pottery courses or a studio membership!!
Went to the mug making workshop and had a wonderful time! Everyone was very friendly and we even got a little tour of the workshop. The class was easy to follow and incredibly fun. We left feeling enriched and excited to go again.
Such a great experience, Sorrel (the teacher) was really helpful and knowledgeable. The class was fun and had a really welcoming relaxed vibe.
