Lavender Print School

I had a wonderful time at the introduction to printmaking workshop! Lorenzo was a brilliant tutor - attentive and full of helpful guidance, while also giving us the space to carry out the whole process ourselves. I had bought the experience as a Christmas gift for my father, for us to do together. We both left with prints we were really happy with, and are very grateful for such a fun and memorable experience!

Great introduction to printing. Our tutor Lorenzo was a good teacher, attentive but at the same time leaving us to our own creativity. Highly recommended.

Really lovely afternoon. Big bonus as there were just two of us booked in, so had the full attention of the tutor Lorenzo. It was amazing how quickly the time flew past. Lorenzo was such an inspiration, full of top tips and advice, patiently talking us through techniques and extremely encouraging. I loved the lino printing class and thrilled with what I achieved in the three hours. I will most certainly be returning to try the drypoint printing very soon. Thank you!

A friend and I attended the Print and Prosecco evening, where we walked away with our own Lino prints we had made and a number of prints to use as cards. It was lots of fun, the teaching from Joella was excellent and it was a great way too unwind and learn a new skill in a couple of hours. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to learn how to be super creative in a couple of hours with great hands on tuition. Really well worth attending

I have really enjoyed all the workshops I’ve joined at the Lavender Print School. I have no artistic talent or experience but I really enjoy being guided through making something beautiful and satisfying (e.g. starting with tracing a picture) and learning a new skill. It’s also very therapeutic and relaxing to focus on nothing for a few hours other than simply making something. The studio is lovely and the artists are really friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I did the Wednesday Evening Art Course, a six week workshop in which you explore basic techniques of drawing and painting in pastel and acrylic. I loved it: learned to look at objects and landscapes in a totally different way. Joella is an attentive and motivating teacher, apart from being a talented artist herself. I totally recommend it. Also, it was super relaxing and lovely to meet people from different backgrounds with a shared interest in art.

Staff are so helpful and talented. Lots of help if you need it or you can just get on with your piece on your own. A really enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back. Lovely art experiences on offer.
