Just completed a week's Summer Slipware course with Richard. It was heaven - A beautiful setting, a wonderful and well-equipped studio, an inspiring teacher for all standards, a creative and happy atmosphere and some fabulous results for everyone from the kiln! I can thoroughly recommend Richard's throwing course as well and Miranda's lunches are delicious!! Made my first teapots, taller jugs and even joined 2 cylinders to make a carafe! Such fun with the slips and glazes too and great to be able to bisque and glaze fire so that you have finished works to take home!
I Had a fantastic day with Richard. I am a first time potter, now confident throwing clay with a friendly and helpful expert guiding me through the basics. This course provides tuition at every level, helping to hook the newbie and yet also advance the most experienced in the same room. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a relaxing and productive class
Wonderful learning environment and a really excellent teacher, and a welcoming atmosphere, warming log burner helps
