A lovely ceramics studio situated in Leah's Yard, Sheffield City Centre. The workshops are fun, relaxing, and perfect for all skill levels. Mel is friendly and super patient, and each session lets you work at your own pace. You can even grab a drink while you create — there’s a wine bar, beer shop, and coffee bar just inside the courtyard nearby. The studio itself is beautifully set up and also doubles as Mel’s shop. Her handmade ceramics are stunning and make perfect gifts. Can’t wait to book another session!

My friend and I I did a clay 'tealight' workshop in November. The small space is welcoming and cosy and Mel is a great host. The small group scenario is perfect, likeminded people enjoying something together and Mel is on hand to provide guidance and help. We bought a bottle of wine from Barks who also provided us with glasses so we could sip and work! It's a great way to support the neighbouring businesses too! I would definitely take part in other workshops of which there a a variety. Mel also sells her handmade goods in the space, I would highly recommend both a visit to the shop and the workshops!

I came to Earth Paper Fibre to create the place settings for my wedding. Mel listened to the vision I had for our table and suggested ways we could create place names in keeping with our theme and colour scheme using clay. She kindly created prototypes for me to view to ensure the colour, shape and print matched perfectly with the linens we had purchased before going ahead with the final design. My guests loved them and they were a lovely keepsake from the day. Earth Paper Fibre also hosted a pottery painting workshop for my baby shower last year. Mel provided a beautiful table setting at our venue, setting up all the equipment ahead of the event. My guests and I loved the pottery painting workshop and Mel gave tips and tricks throughout the session to help us fine tune our work. It was lovely to be able to take away a memento from the day too.

I’ve done a couple of workshops now and have loved each of them! Mel is a fantastic (and very patient!) teacher when showing us the techniques - I’m definitely a beginner but have successfully made a really lovely wax melt and bird feeder! Will definitely be attending future workshops!

Great workshops - I’ve been to a few and Mel is always so friendly and helpful, she explains things clearly and I love the crafts I’ve made!! Very professional and well organised too.
