Kelly Moore Ceramics

I received a gift voucher from my husband that entitled me to a 90 min 1-2-1 pottery throwing session with Kelly for my birthday. Having watched every series of The Great British Throwdown I was extremely pleased and excited. I attended my session yesterday and absolutely loved it. I was warmly welcomed upon arrival and offered tea / coffee whilst I waited for the group session prior to mine to end. It was lovely to see what others were achieving and they were very obviously in their element. Kelly talked me through every step, patiently and clearly, she is a lovely tutor who clearly loves what she does. The time flew by as it does when you are having fun and the end result was 3 pots that will be dried, tidied and glazed and fired for me to collect in a few weeks time. I only expected to achieve a token wobbly pot so as you can imagine I was over the moon. This session has definitely made me want to pursue this possible new hobby lots more, I feel it is likely to be very addictive. Thankyou Kelly, so much for sharing your time and experience with me.

Made to feel really welcome, lovely studio which was lovely and warm on a cold day. We are complete novices to the pottery wheel and great knowledge at our level for what was successful throw of 4 pots. If you want to lose yourself and focus your mind go pottery making 🙂

What a great experience! I bought my friend a wheel spinning experience for her birthday and we absolutely loved it. Such a different and new thing to learn. Kelly is a great teacher - relaxed, patient just super informative. When we collected our finish products we were so impressed with the finish Kelly had created for us, we love them! Thank you Kelly! Highly recommended as a birthday or special occasion gift.

Highly recommend Kelly’s workshops especially if you have never tried pottery before. Kelly provides great instructions/demonstrations and has a very calm and encouraging teaching style, allowing plenty of time for everyone in the workshop to feel comfortable with each step. The studio is lovely and the location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. Very reasonably priced and I look forward to attending more workshops in the future.

Kelly offered a wonderful introduction to pottery! I’ve been to a couple of her sessions now and she was incredibly patient and great at creating a calming and welcoming environment. I highly recommend Kelly if you are a beginner like me. Also great opportunity to meet new people. 🙂

Brilliant experience! My partner and I attended the beginners throwing workshop with Kelly and had a great time. My partner had no experience at all at throwing but came away ,after 2 hours tuition with Kelly having thrown 5 pots!! Kelly is a great teacher, she makes you feel very comfortable, giving you loads of tips and techniques to suit you. The time went so fast, but it was a very relaxing experience and we both felt we had achieved something. We urge anyone thinking of trying to give it a go, bet you will love it, we have booked again on another course!! Thanks Kelly ....see you soon

Kelly is an excellent tutor. Will help you out when you need, but also let you get on on your own if you want. Would highly recommend giving Kelly Moore Ceramics a go! Some of the projects I have done
