Hartshill Clay Resort

Me and my boyfriend had the most wonderful experience making our clay pieces. The morning was superb and Carolyn’s friendly support made it all the more fun. We were so pleased with the outcome of our pieces and can’t wait to return for more when we next have the chance!

We had a very wholesome time with Carolyn when we visited her studio as a couple. She showed us how to use the pottery wheel, and we had a decent amount of time to make our own bowls. We also made some patterned mugs with handles and then hand painted them. Carolyn was very easy to be around and was the perfect level of supportive; helping when needed, but also encouraging us to be confident. She was open to us doing the things we most enjoyed, without being stuck in a rigid class structure. It was a lovely thing to do as a couple. Highly recommend!

Attended the six week course, it was great!! Carolyn is really friendly and knowledgeable and puts everyone at ease. If you have to miss a session she just tags it on at the end or tries to fit you in on another evening, so really flexible. What you make is pretty much up to you and when you have finished you have something to take away with you, pieces of ceramic, good memories and new friends.

Took my mum for her 50th birthday. Super fun morning, Carolyn is so patient and full of knowledge so helpful. She really helps you create your vision. Highly recommended.

I had a solo session with Carolyn, today, and I can truly say it was an amazing experience. Carolyn is a brilliant teacher who made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I spent an hour on the wheel and an hour making flowers, using the techniques Carolyn showed me. With her humour, personality, patience, knowledge, guidance and encouragement Carolyn made me feel confident in my beginner's ability. If you want an amazing experience, learning from an excellent teacher, then I highly recommend Carolyn. THANK YOU, CAROLYN!

Fabulous afternoon with Carolyn - very talented and inspiring lady and helped a group of 6 beginners create some artwork of our own

We had Carolyn do a session for out daughter’s 10th bday party. It was a fantastic sight to see how quiet, calm and focused the children were doing arty shapes and sculptures in clay. Carolyn guided them all so well and they all took home the lovely artefacts they have created. She spent more time than booked for to make sure that the last child to do was supported to finish hers. Such a unique experience!!!
