Lucy is an absolutely brilliant teacher - friendly knowledgeable and positive- my two girls and I had a fab day making toast racks and bird feeders under her supportive and enthusiastic guidance- we can’t wait to go back to do the decoration. I’ve also booked a wheel throwing class as she is such a lovely person! Don’t miss out! Treat yourself and your family to a great pottery session with Lucy in the lovely Maws craft centre! We had such a great day out with a lunch and a walk afterwards - highly recommend

We had such a lovely time at Lucy’s workshop making pots on the potters wheel. It had been tricky trying to find a slot in our busy schedule, but Lucy went out of her way to fit in around us. She showed us how to get started and within a few minutes we were having a go. We made as many pots as we liked and picked our favourite one to have fired. I can’t recommend the experience enough. We loved it and will definitely be going back.

I finished Lucy’s 5-week beginner wheel-throwing course and honestly? I couldn’t recommend it more. I came in with no experience and a lot of nerves, and left with three hand-thrown bowls I’m genuinely proud of — and a new obsession with pottery. Lucy is not only a skilled potter but also an incredibly patient and encouraging teacher. She explains each step clearly, and creates a calm, friendly space where it’s okay to make mistakes, laugh through the wobble, and surprise yourself with what you’re capable of. Her guidance helped me go from struggling to center clay to making pieces I can’t wait to use at home. The studio is well-equipped and welcoming, and each session was hands-on, fun, and really rewarding. Whether you’re looking for a creative outlet or want to try something completely new, this course is a brilliant way to dive into pottery. Thank you, Lucy — I’ve absolutely caught the clay bug!

Had the best time today with the Mrs celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary with a 2 hour pottery wheel throwing session. For a first time I think we did pretty well and all thanks to Lucy. She is clearly very talented and a great teacher and I would recommend this to anyone interested. Looking forward to seeing the final product. Tha KS for putting up with us 😊

What a great way to spend an afternoon! Got bought this throw a pot experience for my birthday and loved every minute! Lucy showed us around and explained about the process and gave us a demonstration, and then we made our selection of pots! At the end we chose our best pieces to be fired and glazed! Will definitely be back as had so much fun

I’d highly recommend Lucy’s pottery course! I was slightly apprehensive to start as I wasn’t sure what to expect, but there wasn’t any need to worry. Lucy made everyone feel welcome and relaxed, and is a great teacher, very encouraging and patient. From never really having been on a potters wheel, to producing 5 pots to be fired at the end was great! Would definitely recommend anyone interested, to give it a try!
