We had a great time at the wheel throwing course. Ruth was a brilliant instructor - very helpful and patient, and made it a very fun way to spend a weekend!

A very good workshop learning how to throw a bowl, pot or similar. Ruth is a thoughtful and professional teacher and we all progressed well over the 3 hours. Just the right amount of guidance as well as freedom to create our own work. Would definitely recommend it to others!

This was such a good session! Mum and I went along with very little to no experience and by end of the three hour session had made a reasonable selection of items. Ruth was such a good teacher. She was super encouraging and complimentary of our efforts. Do not hesitate to go along to one of her workshops or pop along to her stall at Tavistock Market to see what she has made and how talented she is.

Booked this workshop for myself and my boyfriend and really enjoyed it. Ruth is so so lovely and patient/helpful. As someone who isn’t very crafty I didn’t expect to be able to make as much as I did! Such a good and different experience

Such a fun and informative workshop, thanks to Ruth (The Tammar Valley Potter) for creating a very enjoyable course. Would highly recommend for anyone brand new to wheel throwing or if you've done it a few times before and want to learn from a pro.

I had a wonderful afternoon learning how to throw and work the wheel. It was challenging but the instruction and as it turned out, one to one session, was super. I learnt a lot and made some better than expected pot. She talked me through the whole process, demonstrated and then away I went! Great fun. My glazed pots were then returned by post. Super, attentive and proffesional tutoring. Loved it!
