We had a lovely experience making different creations. The studio has an ambiance and is very cosy with plants and candles. Johanna was an awesome instructor!

Recently did a 6 week beginner course and I will definitely be going back for a 12 week all levels course soon! It was my first time doing pottery and the teachers we had were so incredibly skilled and helpful - breaking all the concepts and techniques down in simple ways. The space is beautiful and is truly such a relaxing way to disconnect and spend a few hours on the weekend.

This was one of the best gifts given to me. I finally managed to book into a taster session gifted by my partner and we loved it. It was somewhat therapeutic moulding clay in your hands for a couple of hours and learn some new skills. We left having made a couple of new pieces which we can’t wait to have in our kitchen and created fun memories. And the studio is super cool. Would highly recommend.

The six-week pottery course itself was excellent — well run, great facilities, and a talented, supportive teacher. Unfortunately, during the studio’s move, all of my pieces were discarded without any direct notice to me that they wouldn’t be kept. In class, we’d been told there would be opportunities to glaze at the new location, so I didn’t realise there was a hard deadline for collection. After an extensive exchange with Skandihaus to try to reconcile the situation my final follow-up was never answered. A shame, as the teaching was great, but the transition to the new studio was poorly handled, leaving me with nothing to show for weeks of work.

Fun enough afternoon on the taster class. Adele was lovely and helpful and I’m looking forward to getting the pot back. Felt very cramped in there though. Probably not for you if you’re claustrophobic and there are 12 people crammed around the table. Would be a great thing to do as a group of friends if you had the space to yourselves.

I joined a 12-week pottery course at SkandiHus and I loved every minute of it. It was on Thursday evenings and everyone who came to class was so exhausted after a long week at work so we really appreciated coming to a peaceful studio to unwind and make something with our hands. Our instructor Chris was very talented and helpful, more so when I went to him with a project I’d like to finish by the end of the course. I made a gorgeous cake stand and Chris helped me every step of the way with helpful suggestions and techniques. I highly recommend this studio for anyone interested in learning pottery.

Beautiful studios to work in. The teachers are so experienced and offer valuable insight and clear instruction for the varied beginners and intermediate participants in our small group class. A warm and welcoming environment and a well structured course.
