I’ve just finished a 6-week course and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Our teacher Emilia was knowledgeable, kind and supportive. She created an environment where we were all welcome to try new things and to step out of our comfort zone, without any pressure to make something perfect. It was a lovely way to unwind by making something with my hands. This was a birthday gift and I think I’ll ask for another course at SkandiHus next year!
I took my first pottery class in London at this studio and it was amazing. The teachers were caring, helpful, directive but without taking over. It was so relaxing and fun to participate. I met really nice people who were also at the workshop. Since the workshop, I’ve even purchased smaller teacup clay pieces to display a variety of things such as Palo Santo, tea light candles, or snacks. I love how all the proceeds from the sale of these tiny cups went to support charities all around the world.
I was really impressed with this studio. The space was cosy and tasteful. The teacher was kind and realistic about what we could achieve in the session. I had a look at other studios where they do most of the work for you and I felt a lot of pressure to be good right away. At SkandiHus it’s very relaxed. They tell you that nobody is going to throw clay on a wheel for the first time and whip up a vase, so they don’t make you do that. I’m proud of what I made and it’s a nice momento of a great afternoon. I would look do it again in a heartbeat.
Skandihus is pure magic. The venue, vibe, activities and of course, Alfie, the furry Skandihus member! Stine brings so much love and intention in her clay workshops!
Attended a taster class run by Jade and had the best time! Jade was a great teacher and really took the time with everyone to make sure they made something they were happy with - I can't wait to see the finished results! Brilliant value for money, a really fun morning out and I'd attend a longer course in a heartbeat.
I’ve tried many studios and love SkandiHus. I went for a taster and have since done three courses across their studios - I’m hooked. What makes them special for me is the community vibe of it, the teachers a great - knowledgeable and also fun to be with. I also like that they give back to the community through free or donation based events. Highly recommended and great value !
My partner and came here and did an introductory pottery class at SkandiHus and had such a great time! Neither of us had tried pottery before, but we enjoyed getting creative and making small bowls to use at home for our keys and jewellery. Stine and the team there were so friendly and made the experience so easy and fun. We can’t wait to go back and make more!
