Turning Earth Leyton

I took a membership at Turning Earth Leyton for 3 months between a break from my professional activity and I had a great experience. I didn't know much about pottery but I join my wife who has been going there for the last three years. I found a bright and large studio with good size working tables. There are a good number of wheels available, slab rollers, spray booth and a good selection of glazes. The technicians were always available for advices and the place is well maintained. The personal shelf for storage is a little bit small but if you take a top shelf you can gain a little bit more space. Overall I had a great experience and made new friends. I will be back soon.

Probably the best £290 I’ve ever spent. I did the 8 week course and had an absolute blast. The tutor was brilliant and both friendly and highly skilled at ceramics. I made a few friends out of it (which isn’t easy post 30!) and came home with some adorable, albeit slightly dodgy pottery. See below for my hand crafted Sports Direct mug. Highly recommend this course for anyone looking to learn a new skill. I will almost certainly be back.

I've joined recently Turning Earth Leyton as a member, the studio is amazing with great teachers, lovely staff and the space is incredible!

Love the space, have been to a few craft markets here and the atmosphere is always lovely. Amazing to get to see all the different artists at work here. Am definitely going to have to book up for a course soon to try my hand 🙂 definitely recommend 👌

Very cozy and nice ceramic studio! 🙂 I discovered this place in 2017 while visiting London, a friend suggested me to go together to their winter ceramics market: I got to know the artists, bought some presents and one year later my husband and I decided to order our wedding favors here. Amazing and colourful little coasters arrived perfectly to Italy. Lovely team, nice atmosphere, big space to work, highly recommended.

Turning Earth Leyton is hands down the best pottery studio I’ve ever been a part of! The space is light, airy, and beautifully designed, with large tables that make it easy to spread out and work. The community is so welcoming and the atmosphere couldn’t be more friendly. Their classes are fantastic, and they offer an amazing selection of glazes to experiment with. I also love how efficient they are with kiln turnarounds—super quick! It’s truly a joy to create here.

I have absolutely LOVED going to Turning Earth for a 12-week course. The space itself is so bright, clean, and huge! The sun shines in and plants hang from the ceiling - it's really beautiful. The course I was on was perfect for beginners, but also had more experienced course-members on it too - so everyone was able to work at their best abilities. We went through a whole range of techniques from hand-building to the wheel. My tutor was really outstanding, and took the time to always give one-to-one attention continuously and fairly. I also really appreciated that the tutor seriously encouraged creativity and inventive ideas, and helped find a way to make seemingly ambitious ideas work. I hope to become a Turning Earth member soon after such a great experience!
